Spring 2013

GIS has a plethora of tools, features, and concepts.  The Geography Association will be hosting weekly ArcGIS workshops in the Spring of 2013 where we willlearn how to use tools and programs that we don’t usually learn in our GIS classes. We will cover a range of topics from 3D Analyst, ArcScene, the basics of Python, QGIS, ModelBuilder, ArcExplorer, GPS data collection to whatever tool that you want to learn how to use. This program is spearheaded by Rodell Zorilla, Judy Cheng and JJ Miclat from the Geography Association.  It will be supervised by Professor Michael Shin.  These workshops will be taught by us and other students from the UCLA GIS community. Please share with us whatever skills you have to offer and we would love to have you facilitate a workshop.  These workshops will be recorded and posted weekly on our webpage for your reference.  If you have any questions or ideas, feel free to email us at uclagisworkshops@gmail.com   We’re just here to build a GIS community here at UCLA, creating spatialized data that tells a story.
